M.tech Entrance Exam 2011

Two days ago, the entrance exam and the interview for the next batch of m.tech 2011-2013 was conducted in IIIT campus......

Probably this time there are 2 centers were there to conduct the selection procedure for m.tech 2011-2013 batch, one of them is Delhi center and the second one is Bhubaneswar.

May be few days after on the IIIT website the students may be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Interview.

Farewell Party to M.tech(2009-11) batch

There is a farewell party organized by the students of M.tech(2010-12) batch for their loving seniors today on 4.30 pm in the Sandwitch room.

This is the first kind of farewell party given by juniors to their seniors in IIIT bhubaneswar......

There will be some drama , events , masti , food and blaah blaah blaah...............

Recruitment for Project Fellows in Computer Science & Engineering

Project Fellow positions are available under DIT, Govt. of India sponsored research
project entitled “Cross Lingual Information Access PhaseII.”

Candidates should posses a good academic record with First class or equivalent Master’s Degree in Engineering /Technology (55% marks for SC/ST) OR A First class Master’s degree in Computer Science (55% marks for SC/ST) OR A first class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology (55% marks for SC/ST) with a valid GATE Score. One to two years of experience in software development is desirable.

The fellowship amount per month will be Rs. 20,000/. The initial appointment will be
for one year and may be extended to second and third year depending on the performance of the candidates. Interested candidates should send their CV along with supporting documents to Dr.R.C. Balabantaray, Principal Investigator, CLIA PhaseII
Project by 21 st May 2011.

New Washing Machines for Students

The IIIT management helps students by purchasing 4 more Godrej Washing machine, 2 for Boys hostel and 2 for girls hostel . so now each hostel has 3 washing machines............

MESS BILL ON INTRANET

Today the mess bill for all the branches of b.tech and m.tech students has been published on the intranet....plz check your bill.

This step is taken by the mess committee for the convenience of the students and to make the transparency, with the permission of Dean and the Student Relation coordinator.....

The Entire credit to make this possible goes to Shivam kumar Gupta student of B.tech 2nd year......

Gym in IIIT Opened

A long awaiting Gym at last opened in the Campus.......

So now the students can have their regular exercise and body building with latest equipments....though the equipments for body builders are not enough, I hope more equipments will come soon.....

The Timings are as follow : morning 5:30am - 7:30am
Evening 5:30pm - 7:30pm

COFFEE SHOP & Fast Food

The long awaiting coffee shop in campus is getting its speed................

The coffee shop is being managed nicely. The good sitting arrangement and green srrounding around it.

The same time fast food shop is also in its own height.......students gather at the fast food shop specially from evening to night to have their food and snacks. The quality of food is acceptable but i hear from students that the pricing is very high.........

Anyway now students have atleast some options to select food except the mess.....

MESS BILLS ON INTRANET

RECENTLY MESS COMMITTEE HAS APPROACHED TO MANAGEMENT REGARDING THE REQUEST FROM STUDENTS TO PUT THE MESS BILLS ON INTRANET, AND THAT REQUEST HAS BEEN GRANTED BY THE AUTHORITIES.

SO POSSIBLY IN COMING DAYS THE BILL OF "MARCH" WILL BE PUBLISHED AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE BILLS WILL BE PUBLISHED.......

Mess poll result

The mess poll result is came and on an average 20% of people who voted told that the menu on Holi festival was very good , 31% student told Good , 25% student told Average and rest 24% told it was poor,as per the price.......

Fast Food Stall Very soon

There is one good news for all those, who are waiting for option other than mess food in campus.........

From sources i get the news that very soon we will have one fast food stall in campus...may be before 30th march......

He is going to provide dosa , pav-bhaji , Chowmin , samosa , and other fast food items......

Now lets wait and watch when it happens................

News Regarding Library

The new notice regarding the library came before few days....It says that we can't go inside the library with our own book or book issued by college except to return the book.....

But this is not the appropriate time for this rule....because currently in our library there are not enough books available, hardly single or two pieces are available for concern subjects as rest of the books are already issued,so if more than two peoples wants to read at same time the same book then they can't......

And the second reason is that we don't have separate reading section for library purpose, so if books are not available in library in that case we can't use the library.....as we are not allowed to go inside with our books........

Hope this issues may consider in future.......and they rollback the rule......

Yes, it's true..........Last night The Glass of Director's office was broken.....The reason is still not known..........


The Reaction of this from authorities is that no student can go and sit around the academic block during night hours........

I get this news from sources when i was sitting near water cooler at notice board in Academic block, and a security guard came and order me to not to sit there.......with conversation to him i get this news................

Right now i don't have pic to show the broken glass.......

Offline Poll Reslut in Mess

We have completed First offline poll in Mess for the tomorrows special menu in Lunch for the ocassion of Holi....................

Total 304 students have participated and all are agree with the tomorrow special menu with the condition of extra Rs 5 payment......

Possibly feast on this holy in mess

The mess committee had consult with the mess contractor yesterday to provide nice food on the occasion of Holi festival.........and decided to provide the following in Lunch.

1. Chilli Chicken (4-pieces)
2. Paneer Curry (only paneer)
3. Fried Rice with good quality of rice
4. Dal fry (with spicy masalas)
5. jalebi (2-piece)
6. Rotis.

We had told the mess contractor to provide the quality of lunch at certain level that is good......

In Effect to this, all the students have to pay extra 5Rs on the spot with the lunch coupon to mess.........

This process is approved by the mess committee and mess contractor and awaiting an approval from the member of student affairs committee.......
